3C CATTLE
3C Cattle is owned and operated by Chad, Lacey and Cayden Sutherlin. Chad has been ranching with his parents in the Bitterroot Valley since he was born. In addition to raising Angus Cattle we also raised Red Angus Cattle and farm multiple acres of hay, wheat, barley and oats. Lacey grew up in the commercial cattle industry and got a taste of the registered business working on the Mytty Angus Ranch during high schoo l and college. She works for ABS Global as a Sale Team Leader in Montana, Northern ID and Washington. She works with both ABS Representatives and customers to help them build better breeding programs through AI and Reproductive Synchronization.
In 2009 Chad and his grandparents Loren & Dorothy Brubaker of Genetic Connection started a partnership with 40 head of Angus Cows. Today the cow herd is still run completely together year-a-around. Without the help of Chad’s grandparents we wouldn’t have the cow herd that we do today. The foundation of the cow herd is Lady Elbas C08 HARB. Some of the sires in our herd are Mytty In Focus, Final Answer, SydGen CC &7, Hoover Dam & Soo Line M otive to name a few. We market our bulls annually in the Bulls of the Bitterroot sale the first Saturday in March each year.
New this year, Chad's brother Cody and his wife Mindy purchased the heart of the LB Farms cow herd. The LB Farms cows are now nestled into the 3C Cattle herd and they will be ran simultaneously with the 3C Cattle and Genetic Connection females. The new addition to the sale are some bulls out of the first calf heifers that 3C Cattle purchased from Mytty Angus.
Our goal is to raise functional sound bulls that will inject longevity, muscle & balance into your herd. At our bull sale we market a group of about 20 Commercial Angus Heifer Replacements. The only place we currently sell registered heifers is the NILE in Billings each year in October. At 3C Cattle we cull our herd each year to make sure only the best females in our herd are retained. The end result is that we have an exceptional group of yearling bulls to sell that we are proud to represent.
